Our Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) course at RenewU Training Academy offers thorough training for anyone in charge of providing first aid in the workplace. Over the course of three days, students get comprehensive information and practical experience to confidently and professionally handle a variety of medical situations.

What you will learn

By the end of the course, learners will be able to…

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a first aider, including scene assessment and personal safety
  • Conduct a primary survey (DRABC) and manage an unconscious casualty, including the recovery position
  • Deliver CPR for adults, children, and infants, and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely
  • Manage casualties suffering from (Choking, Seizures)
  • Control external bleeding, recognise and treat shock, and manage minor injuries (cuts, grazes, minor burns)
  • Perform a secondary survey and gather patient history; manage fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains using immobilisation and slings
  • Recognise and manage (Head, spinal, and chest injuries, Serious burns and scalds, Eye injuries, Poisoning)
  • Respond to major illnesses (Heart attack, Angina, Cardiac arrest, Stroke/FAST, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Diabetes, Fainting)
  • Participate in multi-casualty response scenarios and maintain accurate incident reporting (RIDDOR) and practical assessments
