Our First Aid at Work Refresher course at RenewU Training Academy is ideal for certified first responders who want to update their skills and keep current on life-saving methods. Over the course of two concentrated days, students review important first aid concepts and hone their hands-on response abilities.

In addition to extending your First Aid at Work (FAW) certification for an additional three years, this refresher course boosts your self-assurance in handling actual workplace crises. Remain capable, obedient, and prepared to take action when it counts most.

What you will learn

By the end of the course, learners will be able to…

  • Refresh and update knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of a first aider
  • Conduct a primary survey and manage an incident effectively
  • Assess and manage unresponsive casualties
  • Deliver adult CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Manage casualties suffering from (Choking, Asthma and anaphylaxis, Heart attack and angina, Stroke, Shock, Seizures)
  • Treat major bleeding, burns, fractures, and spinal injuries
  • Use bandages, dressings, and slings correctly
  • Recognise and manage illnesses and medical emergencies in the workplace
  • Maintain accurate incident reporting and records
